In July 2025, FoEA2 implored the BOE to implement a District-wide cell phone policy. Since then, FoEA2 has been working with the BOE alongside Screenwise Ann Arbor to pass a policy that best serves all AAPS Students and Teachers.

After a serious safety threat at Haisley Elementary in 2026, FoEA2 has sought to facilitate open and nuanced discussions with a variety of AAPS stakeholders to ensure AAPS deploys best practices for maintaining safe schools for every student and staff throughout the district.
